FACULTY & CLASSES
There are many teachers employed at Idris Academy, and many more classes offered. All students must choose a core class from each category and also two to three electives. There is also a list of different schedules for 5th-7th years. The faculty & staff characters are usually not played, but are there so you can have a face and a name to each staff member.

 Economics/ Geography Prof. Rupert Miles Magical Group: Warlock PB: Harry Lennix Fixation on mundie economic constructs. Manages to link everything to supply and demand. SOMEHOW. |
 Magical and Mundie History Prof. Michelle Wainwright Magical Group: Faie PB: Olivia Williams Seems cold and distant, but actually cares a lot for her students. Can be incredibly demanding though. |
 Latin Prof. Gabrielle Ritt Magical Group: Witch PB: Sarah Lancashire Prone to occasional random bursts of high-speed Latin nobody understands. Gets overly excited when someone asks a question in her class, which rarely ever happens. |

 Mundie Studies Prof. Corruth Zhang Magical Group: Faie PB: Dichen Lachman her faie's natural good looks are enough to make the boys in her class totally not pay attention. Otherwise, she's a decent teacher. |

 Shapeshifting Prof. Molly Runcer Magical Group: Therian PB: Amy Acker Very softspoken. Extremely talented therian. Takes the form of a dove when she changes. |
 Magical Disguises Prof Seregil Marston Magical Group: Faie PB: Jensen Ackles wields witticisms and sarcasm as a weapon. He'll gladly pile more homework on you if you complain. But also very talented at what he does. Prone to appearing in classes disguised as someone else. (sometimes even as one of the students) always interesting to attend his classes. |

 Counselor Adam Hewer Magical Group: Witch PB: Adrien Brody You do not want to end up in a room with him. He dissects your head and says the weirdest things. Is very, very strange. |

Each year has a different schedule to follow. 5th and 6th years pick two electives each, and 7th years get to pick three electives. Below, you will find a schedule for each year and a short description of the classes offered. ¤ 5th years ¤ 6th years ¤ 7th years Schedules should be posted somewhere on your journal for easy access to members. Either create a Google Document and link to that, or you can copy and paste the following codes into your journal and make needed changes. It's not as pretty, but it works! Feel free to create your own code as well, just as long as all the subjects and times are on there! required classes Lower Math: simple Arithmetic and Geometry as applied to magical uses (particularly for Warlocks); also focuses a bit on Pre-algebra towards the end of the year. Higher Math: includes Trigonometry, Algebra, Pre-Calc, Calculus I Lower Science: basic science knowledge including magical biology, anatomy, environment; simple Physics and Chemistry also included in curriculum Higher Science: a more in-depth study of the various sciences including Physics, Chemistry and Biology, similar to curriculum in their counterparts in mundie high schools; required for all 6th year students and a second level is an elective for 7th years. Literature: there are seven levels, one for each year. Most of it is World Literature. The curriculum is divided up into different sections each with its own category of the arts. Economics/Geography: Prof. Miles teaches both subjects. Students 5th year and below are required to take a mix of both. The first half of the year focuses on Economics, the second half focuses on Geography. Students 6h year and above are allowed to choose either Economics or Geography Magical and Mundie History: a detailed look into how Mundie and Magicalfolk have interacted through the course of history as well as wars waged amongst the five magical groups. Magical Creatures: the study of various magical creatures from around the world, including their habitats, eating and breeding habits, as well as what to do when confronted with more dangerous creatures. Latin: a required language course for all students studying in Idris. Most living in the town of Idris can converse fluently in the language. Herbology & Potions: includes a detailed examination of various magical herbs and plants as well as their properties and how they are used together with various other ingredients in the art of potion making. Sports Education: physical activities favoured by magical folk. Students get a choice in which sport they would like to focus on. electives Unless otherwise stated, elective courses are open to all students. Some electives are taken throughout all 7 years, so please read descriptions carefully! Shapeshifting: this course focuses exclusively on teaching Therian students how to control and master their shapeshifting abilities. Therian students are required to take the elective throughout their 7 years at Idris. This course is only offered to Therian students. Students: Evita Ayerza Freedom Brite LiQuan Xing Astrology and Divination: (two-year course) in-depth exploration of how the stars lead us to predict the future, but also explores the use of various other methods - including numerological charts, self-induced trances, tarot reading, and tea leaf reading. Covers various magical means of disguises including ageing potions, hair colour charms, eye colour spells. Required for Faie students throughout their 7 years. Required for all warlock students throughout their 7 years. Also offered to other students from 5th year and above. Includes candles, magic circles, blood magic - just to name a few. Required for all Warlock students throughout their 7 years but not available to others. Students: Misae Mashunkashey Deke Slayton Naomi Stewart Jaidev Zinta Nirajakshi Jayaraman-Singe Gabriel Keeley Language Studies: available to all students to take from year one onwards. Those with problems with English are suggested to take this course. Prof Boyle can teach most languages including Japanese, French, German, Vietnamese, etc. If there is a language you wish to learn that is not already taught, private lessons with Prof. Boyle are also available.
