FACULTY & CLASSES
There are many teachers employed at Idris Academy, and many more classes offered. All students must choose a core class from each category and also two to three electives. There is also a list of different schedules for 5th-7th years. The faculty & staff characters are usually not played, but are there so you can have a face and a name to each staff member.

Headmaster
Headmaster

Prof. Micum Harris
Magical Group: Earth Mage, Witch (Telepathy)
PB: Christopher Plummer

Almost mythical; not many students come in contact with him.
Stern, but wise and compassionate.

Core Subjects

Lower Math
Prof. Adam Winsley
Magical Group: Mage
PB: Fran Kranz

Warm, friendly, outgoing. Always keen to help students.

High Math
Prof. Sally Perkins
Magical Group: Witch
PB: Kelly MacDonald

Not your typical maths teacher. Prone to utilising weird activities in class to 'facilitate learning'

Lower Science
Prof. Simon Lowe
Magical Group: Therian
PB: Simon Pegg

Strange. No other word for it. Plays pranks on students in the name of science.

Literature
Prof. Michael Wesley
Magical Group: Witch
PB: Michael Weatherly

Scholarly and learned. Strict but amenable to reason.

Economics/ Geography
Prof. Rupert Miles
Magical Group: Warlock
PB: Harry Lennix

Fixation on mundie economic constructs. Manages to link everything to supply and demand. SOMEHOW.

Magical and Mundie History
Prof. Michelle Wainwright
Magical Group: Faie
PB: Olivia Williams

Seems cold and distant, but actually cares a lot for her students. Can be incredibly demanding though.

Latin
Prof. Gabrielle Ritt
Magical Group: Witch
PB: Sarah Lancashire

Prone to occasional random bursts of high-speed Latin nobody understands. Gets overly excited when someone asks a question in her class, which rarely ever happens.

Sports Education
Prof. John Faulker
Magical Group: Therian
PB: Tahmoh Penikett

tough muscleman. though his jokes are also really funny.

Herbology & Potions
Prof. Akio Tanaka
Magical Group: Therian
PB: Ken Watanabe

Strict. No other word for it. Doesn't tolerate nonsense. At all.

Magical Creatures
Prof. Salvish Baddock
Magical Group: Warlock
PB: Bill Nighy

his idea of having fun is setting magical creatures loose on the class and then saying "Oh they're really just harmless. They don't bite, much."

Mundie Studies
Prof. Corruth Zhang
Magical Group: Faie
PB: Dichen Lachman

her faie's natural good looks are enough to make the boys in her class totally not pay attention. Otherwise, she's a decent teacher.

Higher Science
Prof. Cecilia Rowan
Magical Group: Witch
PB: Melanie Lynskey

Doesn't like students as a rule. Highly unpleasant.

Electives

Shapeshifting
Prof. Molly Runcer
Magical Group: Therian
PB: Amy Acker

Very softspoken. Extremely talented therian. Takes the form of a dove when she changes.

Magical Disguises
Prof Seregil Marston
Magical Group: Faie
PB: Jensen Ackles

wields witticisms and sarcasm as a weapon. He'll gladly pile more homework on you if you complain. But also very talented at what he does. Prone to appearing in classes disguised as someone else. (sometimes even as one of the students) always interesting to attend his classes.

Runic Studies
Prof. Robert Elmser
Magical Group: Warlock
PB: Alec Guinness

drones on and on. but he knows his stuff

Celtic & Ritual Magic
Prof. Peter Circe
Magical Group: Warlock
PB: Mattia Sbragia

thinks himself rather gifted with jokes. not the case. Tries to be funny and fails.

Language Studies
Prof. Susan Boyle
Magical Group: Witch
PB: Emily Mortimer

can speak nearly ANY language you're capable of throwing at her. fave sentence: "Practice, practice, practice!"

Magical Balance
Prof. Kate Williams
Magical Group: Witch
PB: Rutina Wesley

Quirky, occasionally hyper.

Astrology & Divination
Prof. Jen Drysdale
Magical Group: Witch
PB: Mary Mcdonell

Mystic through and through. Occasionally slips into trances and has no memory of it after.

Elemental Manipulation
Prof. Emily Jones
Magical Group: Mage
PB: Sally Phillips

"Be in control of your emotions! Don't let your emotions control you!" Water mage.

Staff Members

Librarian
Rachel Parker
Magical Group: Faie
PB: Alison Doody

Very elegant. Not at all like a librarian. But you don't want to mess with her books. Not very nice to get on her bad side.

Nurse
Haruka Yamashita
Magical Group: Witch
PB: Kuroki Meisa

Pretty, sweet, kind, gentle nurse. You'd willingly lend a few more days in hospital wing. Witch with healing abilities.

Counselor
Adam Hewer
Magical Group: Witch
PB: Adrien Brody

You do not want to end up in a room with him. He dissects your head and says the weirdest things. Is very, very strange.

Gossip Girl
Staff or student, nobody is really sure. This woman seems to see all, and reports it to the general student population. Got gossip? Want to ruin someone's reputation? She's the one to go to.

Journal is located here.

Classes
Each year has a different schedule to follow. 5th and 6th years pick two electives each, and 7th years get to pick three electives. Below, you will find a schedule for each year and a short description of the classes offered.

¤ 7th years

Schedules should be posted somewhere on your journal for easy access to members. Either create a Google Document and link to that, or you can copy and paste the following codes into your journal and make needed changes. It's not as pretty, but it works! Feel free to create your own code as well, just as long as all the subjects and times are on there!
