POSTING FORMAT
Check here for a quick copy-and-paste of the posting formats.
Strike-outs Private text Privated text should be in the following format: [Private to --Name(s) here--] Text here [/Private] These posts can only be viewed by the character(s) that were listed. Make sure to be specific as to who the private texts are addressed to. Saying something like "close friends" is too vague. Instead, list the names of those the private entry/tag is addressed to. Established character groups (such as "Dueling club members," "Blitzball players" or "Zebul 7th years"), however, are acceptable. Thread headings Thread headings should be formatted as follows: Who: Characters involved in the scene. Also note if the thread is open to other characters. What: A short summary of the scene. When: The time the scene takes place. Where: The place the scene takes place. Rating: You can either use ratings or simply put Safe for Work or Not Safe for Work. Scenes with adult content MUST be marked and threads need to be locked. Emails Email headings should be formatted as follows: From: [Sender Name] <[first initial][last name]@idris.edu> To: [Recipient Name] <[first initial][last name]@idris.edu> Date: [Date email is sent] Subject: [Subject of email] An example of an email from Viktor Ludwig to Alexander Montague: From: Viktor Ludwig <vludwig@idris.edu> To: Alexander Montague <amontague@idris.edu> Date: Thurs, July 2nd, 2009 Subject: (Untitled) Instant messaging IM conversations should involve a header and then the conversation under an LJ cut. Who: Characters involved in the scene When: The time the conversation took place What: A short summary of what happens Rating: You can either use ratings or simply put Safe for Work or Not Safe for Work. Scenes with adult content MUST be marked and threads need to be locked. Reminders Also remember to tag your entry with the names of characters involved! There is a tag list already created for you to use; if you don't see your character on the list, be sure to let the mods know. Make sure threads longer than one or two paragraphs or with large images be put under an lj-cut. |
