APPLICATIONS
Please email the application to us at idrismods@gmail.com. A sample application can be read here. You should receive a reply in a few days. If you do not receive a reply in a week, that means we either did not get your application or dropped off the face of the planet. If that is the case, feel free then to poke us either through email or the Mod Drop Box.
If you find that you're lacking ideas for a character, why not have a look here at our wanted characters page? You're highly encouraged to pick up minority characters! We are currently not taking any more of the following characters due to the fact that we think we have enough (exceptions can be made if they are found on the wanted page): cat Therians, telekinesis witches, telepath witches, fire mages, and ice mages. IMPORTANT!: Before you apply, please make sure you have read the Rules & FAQ and all the related information on the school (Taken Characters, Classes, Setting, School, and Magical Groups). Please also make sure you proofread your application before emailing it in. This will be the first impression the mods will have of you and your character. If the mods find that you obviously did not read the aforementioned pages or did not attempt to proofread your application, your application will be immediately rejected and we reserve the right to not accept further applications for the same character. |
basic information Name: The full name of your character Nicknames: (if any) Sex: Self-explanatory Age: How old your character is Birthday: Completely irrelevant actually. Who knows – maybe when the day comes around, your posse can throw you a party or something. That would be fun to read. IC IM: This is not a real physical instant messaging name, so you do not have to actually create one. Screen name must be related to your character's name and/or ability. Nationality: Country of birth. Sexuality: Who or what does your character prefer romantically, if any? Year: Choose anywhere between 5th to 7th year; that's 15-19 years of age! We don't want any younger PBs because we feel that could get a little strange. House: Which of the houses was your character sorted into? Magical Group: Choose from Faie, Therian, Warlock, Witch, or Mage. More information found here. Special Ability: (if applicable) Please choose only one for your character. Faies and Warlocks don't have any, and Therians, instead of abilities, choose a common-place animal. (No dragons or mystical creatures.) Please also include at least a few sentences elaborating on the limitations of their abilities. We expect students at Idris not to be so adept at their ability that they can part rivers with telekinetic abilities yet. They are bound to have some slight problems with utilising their abilities and we want to know all about it. Electives: 5th and 6th years each choose two, 7th years choose three. Each magical group has their own specific elective they should take as well. Please check here for all the details. Campus Activities: What does your character do on campus other than study? Take a look at this post for already-created organizations, clubs, sports, etc. If what you want isn't on there, feel free to suggest your own! appearance PB: The person playing your character. Height: How tall your character is. Build: Their physique Eye Color: Self explanatory Hair Color: Self explanatory Please write a few sentences on what your character's appearance. What he/she likes to wear, any piercings and/or tattoos, and the way he/she carries him/herself are good places to start. personality Strengths: Lists are just fine! Weaknesses: Lists are fine! Weird Quirks: Please take this time to list at least one weird quirk your character has. Secrets Everyone has secrets. These are generally OOC and background knowledge unless specified by you. Likes: Lists are just fine! Dislikes: Lists are fine! Please include a bit on your character’s attitudes, outlooks, etc. At very least three paragraphs; feel free to make this as long as you want. history Family Residence: Where your character comes from and where he/she lives during the breaks. It can be anywhere in the world, as long as it is where they reside for most of their life while not in school. Languages: The different languages your character can speak. English is a must to attend the school, but since they can be raised from anywhere around the world, there can be other languages. Please also indicate their skill level in each language. Father: Please include at least name and magical type (if any) Mother: Please include at least name and magical type (if any) Siblings: (optional) Please include at least name and magical type (if any) Other Family: (optional) Please include at least name and magical type (if any) Explain your character’s past and regular biographical information, like their relationship with their family. Also, if you already have an idea, please indicate how your character is involved on campus. Remember, because this character is your own original creation, nobody knows anything about them except you! So make sure not to leave anything important out. At the very least, two paragraphs; feel free to make this as long as you want. Please note that Mages, Witches, and Warlocks are decided entirely randomly and not by genetics. Therefore, Mages, Witches, and Warlocks would not be related to each other. Also bear in mind that Faie age differently and are likely to have much more history to talk about than their couterparts. We'd like to see that reflected in your app. ooc information Name: If you don’t feel comfortable giving your real name for whatever reason, give an alias. Sex: If you can’t figure this one out, we can’t help you Age: It doesn’t even really matter (especially if you’re an exceptional writer). Please do note, however, that there may be adult content in some of the threads (which will always be marked accordingly) and that if it bothers you, it is your responsibility not to read. Timezone: Pretty self explanatory. Here is a list if you can't figure out your own! Email: Your email, just in case someone needs to contact you. Or to wish you a happy birthday or something sweet like that SN: Your screen name, preferably AIM, just for contact reasons Writing Sample: Please provide us a sample of your writing/RP skills.
